The Bookery takes used books, movies, etc. donated to the Library and sells them to the public for excellent prices, and this, over the years, has allowed the Friends of Bosler Memorial Library to be one of the largest financial donors to the Bosler Memorial Library and its programs.

We accept donations of books, audio books on CD/DVD, music on CD/DVD, movies on DVD, games, and puzzles in GOOD, SALABLE CONDITION. If you are unsure of the condition of your books the question to ask yourself is “Would I pay $1 for a book, game, etc. in this condition?”

We are unable to accept: Cassette tapes – music or books; Condensed Books; Damaged Books – wet or water damaged, pet damaged, smelly, moldy or very dirty; Ex-library Books; Encyclopedias older than 2000; Magazines; Records; Textbooks older than the year 2000; VHS video tapes.

The Friends also sell some of the books we receive on Amazon. So if you shop for used books on Amazon you might run across us there. When we receive items that have value and should be of interest to the right person, but that person is unlikely to walk through The Bookery’s door, we list the items on Amazon.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A LARGE DONATION – more than 10 boxes – please contact the Bookery in advance to arrange the donation so we can be sure to have volunteers capable of handling such a large donation on hand. Depending on the size of your donation you may be asked to talk to The Bookery’s manager prior to making your donation.
